Scientific information about Northern Lights and storytelling about the myths.

We have teamed up with the Polarlightcenter Lofoten, www.polarlightcenter.com to give you a clear insight into the scientific background of this celestial spectacle. We also take you back to the times when the Vikings were living here and strange rituals steered their decisions to go on their strikes. Storytelling about the history and myths of the Aurora Borealis around an open fireplace close by the sea on a white beach.

Excursions in Lofoten

During the daytime we take you to see the idyllic fishing villages in Lofoten, we visit the museums and the galleries. You can see the impressive Viking museum, or join organized mountain walks and more. If weather conditions permit, you can take part in a sea safari looking for killer whales and other sea- and bird life.

Our recommendation is to stay 3-4 days in order to maximize your chance to see the Northern Lights. Accommodation is available in traditional nomad tents as used by the indigenous Sami people in Lapland or in more conventional hotel rooms/apartments.
